March marches in...

The ants go marching one by one hurrah, hurrah!

March has arrived and so has the Cloud family blog, I've been prodded on more than one occasion that I need to start a blog about my high maintenance children and our journey with Asperger's syndrome, ADHD type inattentive, dysgraphia, and perfectionism all of which is rolled up into one amazing little boy/man.  He is and will always be my little boy however he thinks he is turning into a man already.  A fact that I am not quite ready to admit to yet.

What is going on with us as of late you ask?  We'll start at the top and work our way down to the terrifying terrific tot.

* JB has been nominated for a different radio DJ award this time with Texas Regional Radio.  You do have to be registered to vote, but guess what?!?  IT'S FREE!!!!!  So, go here to vote!!  GO!!  NOW!!

* I have not much new going on other than I am now coaching Carson's little league team.  Yes, you read that correctly COACHING!!!  We had our first practice today and it was great!  The little boys are amazing, everyone hit the ball tonight during batting practice!

*Austin is doing better and better everyday.  Everyday is a journey with him, everyday brings us something new and different.  He LOVES being over at his new school.  He reads his action Bible all of the time, he SINGS in church, he participates when the lead chapel at school, he actually SPEAKS in front of a large group of people!!!  It's fan-freakin-tastic!!

*Carson is doing awesome at school!  He's reading very well, and mastering everything they're giving to him.  He loves playing baseball!  He was SO excited for practice tonight!  He hits and throws like he's been playing for a couple of years, it's amazing how quickly he has picked everything up.

*Katie is doing wonderful too.  We've been making some half-a$$ed attempts at potty training, but after her achievement this morning, I am going to start persuing it more this weekend.  She is topping out a yardstick in height, and tipping the scales at 30lbs.

This morning after busting into my cozy haven of warmth where I was taking a shower and letting in an arctic blast, she takes off her diaper and tells me that she went to the potty.  I tell her that's awesome, but to go throw away her diaper do not just leave it on the floor where I would most likely step on it later.  She of course promptly tells me no and walks off.  A short while later she comes running into the bedroom to me yelling "Potty!! Potty!!"  I ask her if she needs to go potty she says yes and then proceeds to beg me to put a diaper on her.  If I could I would have given her the ol' one eyebrow raise when I told her to go sit on her potty, but since I can't do that I simply settled for the words with no accompanying look.  She tells me no once again and continues to run and around and yell.  Carson comes up to her and asks her if she needs to go potty, she tells him yes and she sits on her potty for him, and SHE GOES!!!!  First time ever!!!! And it was her brother who got this feat accomplished not her "tired of cleaning up pee and poop off the floor" mother!  Her duck potty sings to her which simply excites her all the more.  She's so proud of herself and so is Carson.  He wanted to take a picture of her poop, but I didn't allow him that priveledge.  Carson and I continue to get ready (Austin was going to school with Mimi) and as we are about to walk out the door, Katie tugs on my pants and says, "Uh oh!  I pooped!"  I had hoped, prayed, and was willing to offer her all kinds of money, if she had pooped in her potty.  I followed my nose to the end of the rainbow so to speak and while JB stood guard so the dogs wouldn't eat it, and Carson proceeded to scream that it stank, and Katie was squatting down next to it telling me that it was gross that it is disgustin', I went to get some toilet paper to clean it up, only then did I get to leave the house to take Carson to school and then go to work.

I imagine this blog being Paul Harvey-esque.  And now, you know the rest of the story...
